SICSS Bamberg 2019

From the evening of Sunday, July 28 to Friday, August 09, 2019, I co-organized a partner event for the Summer Institute in Computational Social Science at University of Bamberg. The purpose of SICSS Bamberg was to bring together interested Master students, PhD students, postdoctoral students and faculty in Germany. The Summer Institute was for both social scientists (broadly conceived) and data scientists (broadly conceived).

I was involved in acquiring funding, organization as well as in teaching about ethics, collecting and analyzing digital trace data and quantitative text analysis. Check out https://sicss.io/2019/bamberg/, where you can find more information about the event as well as our open access teaching materials.

Total funding: 30,000 Euro.
